Sea Worthy Packing Basics
Sea-worthy packing is a specialized solution meticulously crafted to endure the rigors of maritime transport, offering unparalleled protection for industrial goods. Designed to resist severe stresses during handling, such as impact, pushing, and overturning, this packing is ideal for machinery like pumps and compressors, as well as instrument and electrical components containing electronic parts.
Ensuring durability for multiple handling, extended storage, and exposure to moisture, sea-worthy packing becomes a fortress against the possibility of pilferage. The specifications include a minimum thickness for the sheathing, with sawn wood requiring 17mm and plywood 9mm or more. Thicker sheathing is employed based on the package’s size and weight, reinforcing the package against potential damages during handling by forklift.
Notably, these specifications are exclusively applied to machinery and instrument/electrical components. Piping materials, construction materials, and structural steel or steel plates for tanks fall outside this criterion.
To guarantee longevity, all bright and machined parts are coated with a recognized rust preventative suitable for the specific application.

Wood Box with Plastic
Plastic wrapped all sides to prevent direct splash of water, dust and foreign particles inside box.
VCI Cover
We cover machine/spare with VCI Bag after it placed over the Base of Wooden Box.
Silica gel or Desiccant
Silica gel or Desiccant bags are placed according to Standard calculation.
Aluminum Foil Cover
Then we cover Aluminum foil and vacuum it so all inside air removed from equipment.
Humidity Indicator
Aluminum Foil Barrier is equipped with an Humidity Indicator, to monitor humidity inside.
Stretch film
Then after we cover it with stretch film and bubble wrap for more firm grip of foil.
Silpaulin Cover
Over then we cover Equipment with Silpaulin bag to robust protection against foreign particles.
Assembling The Box
Finally we assemble all sides of wooden box. It is custom designed for machine weight.
Tarpaulin Cover of box
Then Tarpaulin Cover is wrapped over the top of box and rest sides of box.
Canvas Cover for Box
Canvas Tarpaulin cover is provided for storage yard and all weather protection.
